Multiple Part-time Schedules Available

 

Woodfords is seeking individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of children and teens and their families in the Greater Portland area.

  • We are hiring BHPs to join our team in: Portland, South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Westbrook, & Scarborough

 

Compensation/Pay for Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs):

  • Part-time positions available
  • $14.00 to $15.00 hourly wage based on education, experience, and certification
  • $0.50/hour wage increase once employee receives Behavioral Health Professional certification

 

Schedule:

  • 12 to 29 hours weekly
  • Behavioral Health Professionals often work in the afternoons, evenings, and on some weekends 
  • Flexible schedule

Woodfords is seeking committed, compassionate, and dynamic individuals who want to work as Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs)

  • BHPs support children and teens in their community with specific goals to increase their skills in behavior management, communication, independent living, self-care, self-help, and socialization. 
  • If you are passionate about supporting kids, teens, and their families to reach their goals, we will train you to be successful in this role!

The Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Role:

Woodfords' Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs):

  • Work one-on-one with a child or adolescent with special needs within their own home and community. 
  • Work with the consumer on goals related to behavior, building social skills, following personal and daily routines, as well as community inclusion.
  • Are key members of the Rehabilitative & Community Support program
  • Work independently with the child or teen and cooperatively within a treatment team, including LCPCs, LCSWs, and BCBAs.
  • Have flexible schedules, mostly in the weekday afternoons, early evenings, and sometimes on weekends.

Key Qualifications of a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP):

  • High school diploma or GED required (higher education is preferred)
  • Valid driver's license required
  • A reliable vehicle with current auto insurance required
  • Experience working with children with autism or intellectual disabilities preferred
  • Experience using teaching strategies derived from the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
  • A positive attitude, high energy level and creativity
