Woodfords Family Services is seeking dynamic individuals to join us as Ed Tech IIs and IIIs in our developmental preschool classrooms. 

  • Our Ed Tech IIs and Ed Tech IIIs work in classrooms with preschool children ages 2 to 5 with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Ed Tech IIs and Ed Tech IIIs teach our preschool students skills to help them be successful at home, in school and in the community. 
  • Preschool Teachers have such a positive impact on the lives of our students, and get to be part of a team that celebrates students' successes.

                                        

About the Role of our Preschool Teachers:

Woodfords' Ed Tech IIs and Ed Tech IIIs:

  • Work directly with preschool students providing hands on guidance while helping them meet their individualized goals.
  • Guide preschool students toward fulfilling their potential for cognitive, social and emotional growth and maturation.
  • Teach preschool students the skills they need to be prepared for kindergarten and beyond. 
  • Be an important member of our Early Childhood program, working independently with a child, and cooperatively with a team. 

 

Schedule for Preschool Teachers:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8am to 3:30pm
  • Full-time Ed Tech IIs and IIIs work 37.5 hours weekly
  • Part-time Ed Tech IIs and Ed Tech IIIs work 20 to 29 hours weekly
  • Our preschools are open year-round

 

We invest in our staff and provide Preschool Teachers with paid training & opportunities for advancement!

  • We will teach you the skills and strategies needed to be successful as an Ed Tech II and Ed Tech III.

 

Compensation/Pay for Preschool Teachers:

  • Ed Tech IIs are paid $13.50 to $15.00 hourly (depending on education and experience)
  • Ed Tech IIIs receive $14.50 to $16.00 hourly (depending on education and experience)
  • Additional $0.50 per hour increase if hired with current Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification

Key Qualifications of Preschool Teachers:

  • Ed Tech II
    • A minimum of 60 credit hours required; Associate's degree preferred, in special education, early childhood or a related field.
  • Ed Tech III
    • A minimum of 90 credit hours required; Bachelor's degree preferred, in special education, early childhood or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years' experience preferred and the desire to work with children with special needs.
  • Ability to work a year-round, Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm schedule
  • Good documentation skills
  • A positive attitude and high energy level
