Our Pineland preschool is an easy 30-minute commute from both Lewiston and Portland!

Compensation/Pay:

• $14.50 to $16.00 Hourly

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: between 8am to 3:30pm
• Full-time employees work 37.5 hours weekly
• Part-time employees work 20 to 29 hours weekly
• Year-round

Woodfords Family Services is seeking dynamic individuals to work as Ed Tech IIs & IIIs to work with children ages 2 to 5 with autism and developmental disabilities.

• Ed Tech IIs and Ed Tech IIIs
  • Teach preschool students skills to help them be successful at home, in school and in the community.
  • Work alongside other teachers, clinicians, and therapists. including BCBAs.
  • Learn how to effectively use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help young children gain new skills

Role of the Preschool Teacher:

• Work directly with the students providing hands on guidance while helping them meet their individualized goals.
• Guide students toward fulfilling their potential for cognitive, social and emotional growth and maturation.
• Work independently with a student and cooperatively with the Early Childhood Services program team, including BCBAs, Speech Language Pathologists, and LCSWs.

Qualifications of our Preschool Teachers:

• Ed Tech IIs
  • A minimum of 60 college credit hours required (college coursework in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred)
• Ed Tech IIIs
  • A minimum of 60 college credit hours required (college coursework in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred)
• A minimum of two years' experience preferred
• Desire to work with children with special needs
• Ability to work a year-round, Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm schedule
• Good documentation skills
• A positive attitude and high energy-level
