Foster Family Support Worker

Part-time Position - Therapeutic Foster Care 



Woodfords is growing and seeks to hire a dynamic individual who wants to work with children and teens who are in Maine's foster care system.

About the role of a Foster Family Support Worker:

As a Woodfords' Foster Family Support Worker:

  • You will work one-on-one with a foster child or adolescent with special needs within their home providing support to the foster family.
  • You will focus on daily living skills, social interaction, and behavior management and relief services to foster parents.
  • You will be a key member of the Therapeutic Foster Care program working independently with the child and cooperatively with a treatment team.

Your schedule may be flexible allowing you to maintain a work/life balance.

Key Qualifications of a Foster Family Support Worker:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a valid Driver's License with appropriate motor vehicle insurance
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Experience working with children, teens, and their families desired
